Humanae Vitae receives new respect
Bishop Prendergast is right by saying that “conscience cannot simply be what I think in light of my own life”. The majority of Catholics (through no fault of their own) have never been taught by the Church to develop a conscience of their own unique self in relation with their God. We have allowed our faith to be abrogated to our clerical institution. This group continues to seek power and control over the masses with the support of fundamentalist and ultra orthodox believers. Is this desire not in direct opposition with Jesus’ temptation in the desert?
