TORONTO — One of the pioneers of post-Vatican II church engagement with the political, founder of the Centre of Concern in Washington, former provincial of the Canadian Jesuits and one-time general secretary of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops will deliver the Regis College Chancellor’s Lecture Nov. 22.
Speaking on “Faith and the Public Forum Re-visited,” Jesuit Father William Ryan will argue that social justice is central to the spiritual tradition laid out by St. Ignatius of Loyola 450 years ago.
The free public lecture gets underway at 7 p.m. in Regis College’s Elliot MacGuigan Hall on St. Nicholas Street.
