Five-time Gemini award nominee and television news anchor Lisa LaFlamme received the Waterloo Catholic District School Board’s 2007 Distinguished Graduate Award.
The CTV national foreign affairs correspondent was on hand at St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School’s annual graduation ceremony in Kitchener to accept the award on Oct. 3.
Since 2005, the Waterloo Catholic District School Board has honoured its graduates who have demonstrated a commitment to their faith by making significant contributions to their community.
LaFlamme, a graduate of St. Daniel Elementary School and St. Mary’s High School, remains a strong supporter of Catholic schools.
