After 44 years of religious life with the Society of Jesus, Fr. Daniel Phelan died March 13 at Providence Health-Care in Scarborough. He was 61.
During his time in the priesthood, Fr. Phelan was Spiritual Director for the Loyola House in Guelph, Ont., and the Manresa Spiritual Centre in Pickering, Ont.
Most recently, Fr. Phelan served as a member of the apostolic team at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in downtown Toronto.
Fr. Phelan’s funeral took place March 17 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was interred at the Jesuit Cemetery in Guelph.
