KING CITY, Ont. - Fr. Allan Charnon, O.S.A., a former director at the Augustinian Retreat Centre at Marylake in King City, passed away May 23 in Delta, B.C. He was in his 76th year and his 56th year of religious life.
Fr. Charnon was ordained to the Augustinian Community on May 30, 1959. His parish ministry took him to Wisconsin, Ottawa and British Columbia.
Besides his 10-year stint at Marylake, from 1975-85, and his pastoral duties, Fr. Charnon held various leadership and advisory positions within the Augustinian Community during the later years of his life.
Fr. Charnon’s funeral was held at Sacred Heart parish in Delta on May 28. He is to be interred at the Augustinian Cemetery in King City.
