Pope opens Holy Door in John Lateran Basilica

Pope Francis walks in procession during Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome Dec. 13. The pope opened the basilica's Holy Door as part the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Pope Francis on Sunday opened the Holy Door for the Jubilee Year of Mercy, which officially began last week.
