Archbishop Prigione, first nuncio to Mexico, dies in Italy

Archbishop Girolamo Prigione, who also served in diplomatic posts in El Salvador, Guatemala, Ghana and Nigeria, died May 27 at age 94 in his native Diocese of Alessandria, Italy.

ROME – An Italian archbishop who served as the first apostolic nuncio to Mexico died May 27 at the age of 94.
