Parish reform talks must include laity, say bishops

WURZBURG, Germany -- The German bishops plan to seek talks with the Vatican about its instruction on parish reforms in the Catholic Church, and want lay Catholics to take part in the discussions, according to the German Catholic news agency KNA.

VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican's Congregation for Clergy issued a new instruction on pastoral care that specifies the role of lay men and women in the church's mission of evangelization and offers guidance in parish reforms and restructuring.

Pope says official exorcists show church's love for the suffering

An exorcism took place in this Bel-Nor neighborhood home in Saint Louis, Mo., in 1949. Pope Francis said that exorcists demonstrate the love and acre of the the church for “those who suffer because of the work of the devil.”

VATICAN CITY - Exorcists, assigned to that ministry by their bishops, demonstrate the love and care of the church for "those who suffer because of the work of the devil," Pope Francis said in a message to the International Association of Exorcists.
