Mexican bishops offer support for journalists as they face increased violence

Family and friends of slain journalist Javier Valdez touch his coffin during his May 17 memorial service in Culiacan, Mexico. Valdez was pulled from his car and shot twelve times May 15 in Culiacan, a city currently consumed by drug cartel violence.

MEXICO CITY, Mexico – The Mexican Bishops' Conference offered prayers for journalists as they face increased violence in their efforts to uncover truth.

Mexican bishops: The cry of migrants is the cry of the Church

Mexico's bishops call on authorities to find missing priest
