Religious voices are needed to remind political and business leaders of the basics of morality, particularly on the life and death issues of war, peace, climate change and nuclear arms, a trio of Canadian elder statesmen urged delegates to the Parliament of the World’s Religions. 

Religion has not always been a woman’s ally. 

When Indigenous people from across Canada and beyond took centre stage, conducting the first of two opening ceremonies Nov. 1 at the Parliament of World Religions in Toronto, it was far more than a token appearance.
