770-year-old papal bull purchased by UBC

UBC history professor Richard Pollard studies a papal bull that was issued by Pope Innocent IV and 13 cardinals in Lyons in 1245. The parchment is now stored in a vault at the university.

VANCOUVER - The University of British Columbia has acquired a 770-year old papal bull signed and sealed by Pope Innocent IV that is thought to be the oldest existing papal document in Canada.
