Mother of slain U.S. journalist thanks Pope Francis for support

Slain American journalist James Foley's mother travelled to Rome March 3 to thank the Holy Father for his sympathy and support after Foley was executed by the Islamic State.

VATICAN CITY – The mother of American journalist James Foley, who was executed by the Islamic State group in Syria, has travelled to Rome to thank Pope Francis for the sympathy and support he gave her family after her son’s death.
