Out of control human righters
This is yet another example of bleeding-heart human righters exceeding their already too wide jurisdiction. Plato warned us about such people (Republic, VIII, 562). He describes how tyranny evolves from democracy when its practitioners have "drunk too deeply the strong wine of freedom." With the abuses of democracy by human rights tribunals (documented in Maclean's magazine) clearly evident, we may ask if we are on the cusp of tyranny. Why must the majority be tolerant while the minority undermines our institutions and traditions? The tail is wagging the dog.
