Perhaps a few more facts would be useful

Michael: I want to thank you for writing such a factual and even handed account of this story. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for some of the other web sites & bloggers who have picked up parts of your story and used them out of context. It never ceases to amaze me how some Christians can take words, be they the word of God, or the word of fellow Christians and turn them to the work of the devil. Based on some of the assumptions being made about me, my character and my motives, I thought it might help your readers if I were to provide more background to this case, on my blog.

Helping Bishop by Causing Public Scandal

I have read Mr. Corcoran's blog entry with interest, and I am unsure as to how being an adult altar server is one of his or anyone's "rights as a human being." I am also unconvinced that exposing Fr. Hood and Bishop De Angelis to international scrutiny by suing the latter before the HRCs will help the health and tranquillity of either one of those men. What a terrible shame this could not have been resolved privately, in the parish.

You felt comfortable in your position as Adult Alter Server, notwithstanding your professed sexual preference, because you were not attempting to enter the Priesthood? My catholic teaching compels me to deny your Roman Catholic claim of allegiance. No true Catholic may select the tenants of faith to adhere to and, others to ignore. Automatic excommunication is self imposed when we refuse to abandoned serious sin against Almighty God or, the ordinances of Holy Mother Church. You are intelligent , articulate and well informed. You could serve Our Creator if you cast off some crippling choice.
