ImageTORONTO - In theory all faiths share a commitment to the poor. The ecumenical Christian social justice coalition KAIROS will test out that theory at a meeting for representatives from all faiths to talk about ways of reducing poverty rates in Toronto.

On Feb. 19, at 569 Spadina Ave. on the campus of the University of Toronto, KAIROS will host “From Faith to Action” from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the main activity hall of the Multifaith Centre for Spiritual Study and Practice. Dinner, including vegetarian options, will be served as KAIROS hopes to get churches, temples, synagogues and mosques all talking about poverty in Canada’s largest city, and how to eliminate it.

Participants must register by Feb. 15 by calling (416) 463-5312 ext. 237.
