THORNHILL, Ont. — Students and staff from St. Elizabeth Catholic Secondary School will host a festival dedicated to productions by youth featuring spirit and religious faith.
Mediaspirit Festival 2008 will take place at St. Elizabeth’s on May 22 from 4-8 p.m.
Students from other schools are encouraged to submit their work. Work submitted may feature photo, video, narrative, poetry, sound, music and drama to name a few.
Five awards with a value of $100 will be granted based on originality, social justice and spiritual potential of the media.

| Santos, a recent graduate from Francis Libermann Catholic High School in Toronto, wrote for The Catholic Register as a co-op student this past school year. This is Santos’ first time attending WYD with the Pope, as he joins dozens of other Torontonians for the trip. He plans to assist Toronto group organizers in broadcasting some of the events to the Office of Catholic Youth.
