The Triumph still screened at Cineplex

The Triumph, a popular documentary about Marian apparitions in Medjugorje, Bosnia will be screened as originally scheduled at Cineplex facilities across Canada following a resolution of issues between the theatre giant and the Ave Maria Centre.

The resolution follows a Nov. 10 Catholic Register story about the halting of Nov. 16, 23 and 30 screenings at the insistence of Cineplex, which wanted to reschedule the showings to the new year. Private screenings of the film, booked by the Ave Maria Centre for Peace, will now proceed on Nov. 23 and 30.

“They’ve given us what we’ve asked for,” said Henry Kovacic, director of the Ave Maria Centre. “We’re on the same side, on the same team.”

Kovacic says, “Once people see the film, a very common reaction we get — because we’ve been videotaping the reaction — is that people say that this film has to be seen by the whole world, by everybody.”

Additional private screenings of the film will also play at Cineplex facilities.
