{mosimage}HUNTSVILLE, Ont. - Public school trustees have voted down a call to eliminate Ontario’s Catholic school system by a margin of almost two to one.
At its annual general meeting in Huntsville’s Deerhurst Resort, the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association voted 78 to 43 against a motion by Grand Erie District School Board trustees calling for one publicly funded school system.

A similar motion at last year’s public trustees meeting was tabled before it could come to a vote.
