Fr. Robert Barron, one of three auxiliary bishops named for Los Angeles

Pope Francis named Fr. Robert Barron, 55, Msgr. Joseph V. Brennan, 61, and Msgr. David G. O'Connell, 61, as auxiliary bishops for the Los Angeles archdiocese.

WASHINGTON - Pope Francis has named three auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles including Fr. Robert Barron, creator of the Catholicism television series.

CCCB to choose Synod delegates by late March

OTTAWA - By the end of March 2015, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will choose four delegates and two alternates to attend the ordinary Synod on the family in Rome scheduled for next October.
