Peace=unity

SASKATOON - Peace equals unity and unity is the whole point of the ecumenical movement. That’s the logic behind this year’s summer ecumenical institute mounted by the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism in Saskatoon.
"Making Peace in the Household of God" runs June 26 to 29.

The four days of study will tackle topics including biblical foundations for peace-building, change and conflict in congregations, conflict assessment, responding to conflict in congregations, forgiveness and peace-building and more.

Dave Brubaker of the Centre for Justice and Peacebuilding of Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia will lead several sessions. Brubaker has spent 20 years training people in various methods of conflict resolution. Anglican priest Dale Lang, whose son was murdered during the Taber school shootings in Alberta in 1999, will be a featured speaker.
