Ontario’s Catholic bishops have chosen Bishop James Wingle as president of its executive.
Wingle, bishop of St. Catharines, replaces former Pembroke Bishop Richard Smith, who has moved on to Edmonton to take over as archbishop.

Rounding out the Ontario Conference of Catholic Bishops' executive, chosen at the bishops' plenary March 26-28, is Toronto Auxiliary Bishop Richard Grecco as vice-president, and Thunder Bay Bishop Fred Colli and Sault Ste. Marie Auxiliary Bishop Robert Harris as councillors.
