Golden Rule posterTORONTO — The Golden Rule poster, a product of the Scarboro Missions interfaith desk, continues to find a home in classrooms and churches around the world.

The man behind the poster which compares versions of the golden rule in all the world's major faiths has been awarded a Golden Rule Peace Medal by the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for his efforts in providing 10,000 Ahmaric-language versions of the poster to the Ethiopians.

Paul McKenna was awarded the medal for his "outstanding contribution in promoting a culture of peace," said Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative chairman Mussie Hailu.

The Ethiopian organization also awarded a Golden Rule Peace Medal to Leslie Gabriel Mezei who worked with McKenna on getting the poster out in Ethiopia.
