Parellel priorities

January 3, 2025

Pope Francis did not attend the consecration ceremony at Notre Dame because he was busy on Dec. 7 consecrating Toronto Archbishop Francis Leo and 20 other prelates to the College of Cardinals. Both ceremonies were of deep Christian import. Notre Dame represented resurrection, and the new Cardinals renewal. Both were a celebration of life.

Notre Dame rose from the ashes and Cardinal Leo was handed the baton from Cardinal Collins - symbolism of the Church everlasting.

A great point well made – the Editor.
