The Priests to play St. Paul's Basilica

TORONTO - The Priests, the singing clergymen from Northern Ireland, will return to Toronto for a concert at St. Paul’s Basilica Dec. 4.
They’ll be here in support of their second CD, Harmony, which will be released Nov. 23. The event will assist the St. Paul’s Christmas Family program, feeding local families in need over the Christmas season.

The Priests smashed records with their debut CD on their way to becoming global superstars. The album was the fastest selling classical debut album of all time.
The show is at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) and will be recorded for broadcast on Classical 96FM and Salt+Light Television.

Also available Nov. 24 is Alma Mater: Music From the Vatican, which will feature the voice of Pope Benedict XVI reciting and singing passages and prayers accompanied by The Choir of the Philharmonic of Rome. It was recorded in St. Peter’s Basilica.
