We need God’s divine mercy

“Jesus is risen, there is hope for you, you are no longer in the power of sin, of evil! Love has triumphed, mercy has been victorious! The mercy of God always triumphs!”

Such were the Easter Sunday words of the new Pope. Pope Francis has, in just his first few weeks, spoken repeatedly of the mercy of God. It is reasonable to expect that this will be a central theme of his pontificate.
