Interfaith council hosts mayoral debate

TORONTO - If you’ve been waiting for your chance to hear Toronto’s mayoral candidates address poverty, housing, faith and ethics all at the same time — and maybe even use the word “praxis” — the Toronto Area Interfaith Council has the all-candidates event for you.
On Sept. 11, the TAIC will host a 7 to 9 a.m. breakfast for candidates at Metropolitan United Church, just south of St. Michael’s Cathedral. Questions the TAIC plan to ask the candidates include:
- How can the city partner with faith communities to support and expand housing programs?
- How do you intend to reduce poverty in Toronto?
- How do you wish to engage the faith groups? o How can the interfaith communities partner with the city to put into praxis the programs already in place?
- How can the interfaith communities partner with the city to promote our ethical and moral compass?
