Sometimes, sleep doesn’t come easy. Dreams are pushed aside by worry and fretting. Counting sheep gives way to counting out real-life scenarios and possibilities late into the night.
What if? Then what? What could happen? What has probably already happened?
Like most of us, as a youngster I fell victim to very little anxiety and distress. I prided myself in taking things one day at a time, not looking too far into the future and adopting an easygoing, mellow outlook toward life. Too breezy, perhaps.
