Hang on for dear life.
Unfortunately, the dearness of life seems to be dying a not-so-slow death.
A thwarted Valentine’s Day massacre in Halifax had the potential to kill dozens. A tip led police to a house in which they found the body of a 19-year-old man, a suspect in the plot. A short time later, police arrested a 20-year-old Halifax man and a 23-year-old woman from Geneva, Ill., at the Halifax airport. The two are charged with conspiring to commit murder and arson and with illegally possessing weapons and conveying a threat through a social media.
Brian Brennan, the commanding officer for the RCMP in Nova Scotia, told media of a plan of “opening fire to kill citizens and then themselves.”
The target was allegedly a shopping mall.
