The Catholic Register is pleased to introduce our new Youth Speak News team for 2016-2017. These 12 young people were selected from a very qualified number of applicants to The Register’s successful YSN program.

Rebecca Atkinson Age: 20 Hometown: Ottawa, Ont. Education: First-year journalism student at Algonquin College.	Breanne Azevedo Age: 17 Hometown: Mississauga, Ont. Education: Grade 12 student at Holy Name of Mary College School.	Emily Barber Age: 17 Hometown: Toronto, Ont. Education: Grade 12 student at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School.
Vanessa Chan Age: 24 Hometown: Markham, Ont. Education: Second-year PhD candidate at University of Toronto.	Elizabeth Chelmecki Age: 16 Hometown: Toronto, Ont.
