Caritas Foundation raised $50,000 from Harmony Ball

VAUGHAN, Ont. - The Caritas Foundation raised $50,000 through its 15th annual Harmony Ball fundraising gala on March 28.
The funds will go to Caritas Project, a therapeutic community that has, in the past 20 years, supplied counselling, guidance and other services to individuals recovering from substance abuse and addiction.
The Harmony Ball, in conjunction with Caritas’ annual Telethon kickoff, will allow Caritas to continue providing these programs and services to its community members.

“The event was a big success, not only from financial goals, but from our community involvement as well,” said Ramin Deravian, associate executive director for Caritas.
With more than 350 people in attendance, Caritas was able to reach its goal. Guests were greeted with an elegant antipasto reception followed by an evening of fine-dining, entertainment, live auction, a raffle, door prizes and more.
The Caritas Annual Telethon will continue to run throughout the month of April on TLN Telelatino until the grand finale April 26. Caritas hopes to raise $250,000.
At the ball, Caritas honoured TLN with its Community Service Award recognizing the network’s generous contributions throughout the past 15 years in arranging the annual telethon.
