For distinguished and faithful service to the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Toronto, 10 people have been recognized with the 2025 Saint Michael Award.
The recipients will be honoured at a noon Mass at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica on Sept. 28. The recipients are: Heung-Sook Therese Park, James and Elfreida Sons, Sue Kanemy, Hans Maier, Mary Ann Leon, Frank Maccarone, John and Ruth Doris and Stella Bruni.
“In this Holy Year of Jubilee, drawing on the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope,’ I am delighted to honour those who have enkindled hope in others through their generous and loving example,” said Cardinal Francis Leo in announcing the award recipients. “Their selfless commitment reminds us that true holiness is found not in power of acclaim, but in faithful service to others. May the witness of these men and women inspire us all to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our Lord.”
St. Michael is the patron saint of the archdiocese.
