Archbishop Sarah Mullally has been confirmed as the 106th archbishop of Canterbury, becoming the first woman to lead the Church of England in its 1,400-year history. While her appointment has been welcomed by many, including Cardinal Vincent Nichols, it has faced opposition from conservative Anglican leaders in Africa.
