A man drove a pickup truck into New Year's crowds celebrating in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Jan. 1, 2025, killing at least 15 and injuring around 35. Police fatally shot the driver, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, after he exchanged gunfire, striking two officers. The FBI is investigating the attack as terrorism.
