Carney inconsistent

CCCB President Bishop William McGrattan recently advised Christians to get involved in the electoral process ("Church teaching should guide vote," Catholic Register, Mar. 30, 2025). Something to consider as part of this process is the response of Liberal leader Mark Carney, who identifies as Catholic, to a reporter who recently asked him about abortion. Carney replied: "I absolutely support a woman's right to choose, unreservedly, and will defend it, as the Liberal Party has defended it, proudly and consistently."
