Post-modern polarity
May 18, 2025
Sr. Helena Burns' April 20 Catholic Register column, "Understanding the two sides of polarization," hits the nail on the head, "We have reached a tipping point of successive generations not taught Biblical principles or trained systematically in the Christian faith from childhood," she writes. The end result is post-modernism - there is no such thing as absolute truth. God is Truth. Ergo there is no God.
Polarization is a direct consequence of this confusion. What is deemed true on Tuesday is anathema on Wednesday and true again on Thursday. Think tariffs.
