Hope ahead

Once we read Pope Francis’ autobiography, Hope, my wife and I decided the book should be a companion for many within, and beyond, the Catholic Church. For Holy Year 2025, we view Hope as a vade mecum for pilgrims to meditate on the Pope's heartfelt evocation of this family roots on both sides of the Atlantic. We would love to see an on-line discussion group to help reflect on the joy it evokes. People could provide comments on the books, songs and films that have moved Pope Francis. Imagine a previous pope saying: "Tango is backbone, strength, character, an emotional, visceral dialogue that comes from afar, from ancient roots, and involves as much leading as being led, the tenderness and the responsibility to take care of the other.”

Hope, the book, does not disappoint.
