OTTAWA - The primate of the Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC) Archbishop John Hepworth consecrated two auxiliary bishops for the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada (ACCC) Jan. 27 at a ceremony in Ottawa.
OTTAWA - A Kamloops, B.C., city councillor has agreed to pay a $1,000 settlement to a homosexual couple for public statements he made about homosexuality.
OTTAWA - The Canadian Judicial Council has dismissed REAL Women of Canada’s allegations of judicial misconduct against Ontario Chief Justice Roy McMurtry, whose 2003 Halpern decision determined the traditional definition of marriage discriminated against same-sex couples.
Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C), Feb. 18 (1 Samuel 26:2, 7-9, 12-13, 22-25; Psalm 103; 1 Corinthians 15:45-50; Luke 6:27-38) Most of us love to see the movie villain get his or her comeuppance. There is a palpable sense of glee and satisfaction in the audience, sometimes even erupting into applause. Be honest: how many of us have fantasized about having our own enemy — whoever it might be — right where we want them? I think that is probably a common experience.

I hated catechism class as a child because I had to miss Saturday morning cartoons. But more than that I hated when catechism class ended because it meant I would have to wait.

So how can we, as Catholics, open our ears to the needs of others and loosen our tongues in order to promote Christian unity not only today, but for generations to come?
