Missing God
June 14, 2026
Two stories in the May 24 issue intersect to give us a glimpse into our current state of affairs. In your cover story, "Jim Hughes: a life lived for life," I could substitute the words "for God" and it wouldn't change the piece an iota because every sentence is imbued with the love of God. In Anna Farrow's column, "Jumping off the cliff of MAiD expansion," God is not mentioned at all because it would be incongruous. We see vividly what separates life from the culture of death.
