This year, The Catholic Register received almost 100 entries to our Easter drawing celebration for school children, including one all the way from Melbourne, Australia.

The abundance affirms why we continue to make it part of our journalistic mission to celebrate young Catholic artistic talent twice yearly at the two most important times of the Christian year.

Once again, all the entries are beautiful and obviously heartfelt images showing unique understanding of the Passion narrative, joyful creativity, and above all love for Our Saviour.

For 2024, the judges chose Alyssa Margarido, a Grade 2 pupil at St. Anthony School in York, to showcase our Grades 1-3 group. Quinnlyn Watkins, who is in Grade 6 at St. Joseph Catholic School in Belwood, represents the Grades 4-6 category. Grade 8 student Susanna Daniels was selected from among our Grades 7-8 pupils.

Our thanks and congratulations to all who entered, and to the teachers and parents who helped guide and gather the contributions for us.

Thank you and Happy Easter to all the participants.
