Three years after multiple bombings killed more than 260 people on Easter and lingering questions remain about those behind the attacks, Pope Francis appealed to Sri Lankan authorities to shed light on what happened.

NEGOMBO, Sri Lanka -- Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has finally won a concession from Sri Lanka's government after widespread criticism of the investigation into the deadly Easter Sunday attacks.

The Easter bombings in Sri Lanka left the Pontifical Mission Societies in that country responsible for the safety, upbringing and education of 271 children who lost at least one parent to co-ordinated terrorist attacks on Christians and foreign tourists.
