Christian educators say Israeli policies could force school closures

AMMAN, Jordan - Israel's Ministry of Education may force dozens of Christian schools to shut their doors this school year, but a Catholic priest is hoping a meeting with government officials can avoid that.

St. Michael's Cathedral closed over safety issues

St. Michael’s Cathedral will closed completely from June 17 to mid-December due to safety reasons.

TORONTO - A sudden decision to close St. Michael’s Cathedral will scatter cathedral parishioners to other downtown parishes on Sundays for the next nine months while structural repairs and renovations continue on the historic church.

NY archdiocese, one of the world’s grandest, shrinks

NEW YORK - The Archdiocese of New York, with the second-largest Catholic population in the country and an unparalleled place in U.S. Church history, is shrinking: Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Nov. 2 announced that nearly a third of the archdiocese’s 368 parishes would be merging, and some would close.
