Moses, another introvert, was led by God to go to the Egyptian pharaoh and seek his people’s freedom. Lech Walesa, an electrician, organized illegal protests in the Gdansk, Poland, shipyard throughout the 1970s. He was arrested numerous times, fired from several jobs and placed under constant surveillance. His efforts bore fruit in the Solidarity trade union which led to the collapse of Eastern European communism.

This would solve definitively so many problems: whether God exists; what God is like; why there is injustice and suffering in the world; and who is “right.” God could also remake the world and put everything the way it should be.

The second wave of COVID-19 has hit many Canadian Catholics where it hurts most — the shutting down of public Masses. VANCOUVER -- The Delta Hospice Society is considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada after a B.C. Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal of a lower court ruling that the society did not act in good faith in launching a mail-in vote proposing changes to its constitution and accepting some applications while denying others.
One can never have enough good guidance in this tumultuous world. Intercession through the Mother of God is never in vain.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has certainly not been kind to churches across Canada, with British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario public health agencies restricting in-person services for a second time due to the unrelenting second wave.
The acceptance of serious allegations swallowed up without proof is an age-old problem. It is also dangerous.
