Teens hailed as heroes in boy’s rescue

Young skiers Gabriel Neilson, second from left, and four friends have been hailed as heroes after they helped rescue an eight-year-old boy dangling from a chairlift on Grouse Mountain. The drama was caught on video by another skier, Carolina Akoglu, as the boy fell.

VANCOUVER - It was a day of skiing Grade 8 student Gabriel Neilson won’t soon forget.
